Once a month for the past three months, The Family Hope Foundation has been sponsoring disability-friendly films at Celebration Cinema North. That means that the lights are on for the film, volume is lowered, and children with disabilities can spend time with other children with disabilities and their families with respect. It also means that children with disabilities are able to roam about the theater if needed and if their disability involves speaking, asking questions, or making noises during the film it will be accepted as well. This month's film is "The Smurf's".
This film will be shown on Saturday, August 27th at 10 am at Celebration Cinema North. Tickets are $5, first come first served. If you have any questions about seating or information about the theater, you can call the box office at (616) 365-2051 or visit their website. For more information on this event, visit the Family Hope Foundation's website or Facebook page. There is a flyer on their Facebook page for the event as well.
The Family Hope Foundation is a non-profit organization in the West Michigan area that advocates for children with disabilities and their families. They encourage family support, collaboration, and help provide financial assistance for therapy.
